Plant-Based Cleveland is an organization providing education on the evidence-based health benefits of following a whole foods, plant-based diet. Many research studies have proven that people who strictly adhere to a plant-based diet are able to effectively reduce or eliminate chronic disease indicators including obesity, high cholesterol, blood sugar, and blood pressure. This is a side-effect free program aimed to help educate individuals how to prevent and reverse their heart disease, type II diabetes, and high blood pressure and cholesterol, often reducing or eliminating the need for prescription medication.

What We Do
PlantBasedCLE is a non-profit (501c3 application pending) organization. Plant Based CLE conducts various activities to achieve their mission of educating residents of Northeast Ohio on the benefits of a whole foods plant-based diet including movie screenings, monthly meetings which alternate between the east side and west side of Cleveland as well as hosting a Facebook discussion group with over 950 members.
We have run helped run several Engine 2 Seven Day Rescues here in Northeast Ohio. We have screened Food Choices and organized a group to see the screening of Eating You Alive. We have members that have healed themselves after heart stents and bypasses, eliminated diabetic medicine, and reduced impact of auto-immune diseases such as Lupus. We have members that have lost weight, gained energy and a passion for helping others learn about and apply the health benefits (mind, body, and spirit) of the way of eating.
We are working with local restaurants and grocery stores to include more whole food, plant based no oil menu items. We are working with them by showing them that there is some demand for this type of food. We are working with a corporation to introduce the Seven Day Rescue on a recurring basis to help educate its employees on the benefits of a plan.
